Shark NV360 vs NV752: Which Has Better Cleaning Performance?

I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. Read more

In the Shark NV360 vs NV752 battle, both vacuums are really effective and pleasant to use. Nevertheless, the Shark NV752 performs better overall, making it the better option.

The Shark NV752, which came out on top, appears to have a little bit more power than the Shark NV360 and, as a result, better overall performance. In addition to that, it comes with a very impressive set of attachments. It was one of the best carpet deep cleaners out there, regardless of price, and it had a lot of really helpful features.

Nevertheless, the Shark NV360 is also an excellent option. Similar to the Shark NV752, it will be adequate for most types of floors even though it is marginally less effective in removing dirt from hard-to-reach places.

Shark NV360 vs NV752: Differences

Shark NV752 beats Shark NV360 convincingly by a score of 4-1. The higher water lift in Shark NV752 contributes to its superior cleaning performance. It also has a more convenient design and is more maneuverable.

Cleaning Performance

The Winner: Shark NV752

Suction Strength

The Shark NV752 has a suction that measured 95 inches of water lift, which is an extremely high value. In addition, I measured the airflow and found that it was 99 CFM at the hose and 58 CFM at the cleaner head. Meanwhile, the Shark NV360 achieves a water lift of 84 inches with suction. It is identical to the NV752 in terms of the airflow at both the hose and the cleaner head.

What does it mean when there is a difference in the water lift? All know that the water lift allows a vacuum cleaner to pick up or “lift” debris from the floor surface. The more inches of water lift the vacuum cleaner is, the more easily it picks up sand and other heavier soils from the carpet and floor.

According to this theory, the Shark NV752 has a greater performance. But we care about the ability in practice, right?

The Shark NV752 earned a perfect score of 100 points in my embedded sand in the carpet deep-cleaning test. The NV360 did an excellent job, but it takes a few more passes to get a truly clean vacuum. In this test, the NV752 did, in fact, perform marginally better than the NV360.

I tested these two vacuums with progressively larger debris. And while I found that they picked up fine debris in small to medium debris with little trouble. with large debris like Froot Loops. To be fair, picking up these pieces from hardwood flooring is a big ask. For anyone regularly vacuuming larger pieces, the super easy-to-remove wand is great for picking up larger debris if needed.

In addition, the power of the Shark NV752 was demonstrated when it was put through the crevice pick-up test. In approximately 3 passes, the NV752 was able to collect all of the debris from the eighteenth-inch crevices as well as the quarter-inch crevices. However, the NV360 completed the task in at least 4-5 passes. It still seems pretty good.

Dustbin capacity

The Winner: Tie

The Shark NV752’s dirt bin can hold up to 1.5 quarts. It is a little bit higher capacity compared to the 1.2 quartz of the Shark NV360. As you can see, the difference is not too significant, and the dustbins get full after vacuuming just 1 room. So if you have lots of animal hair, this capacity may not be up to par.

Design & Convenience

The Winner: Shark NV752

Noise Level

Both the Shark NV752 and the Shark NV360 have a loud to the very loud noise level.

The noise level of the NV752 was measured at 75.2 decibels while I was testing it. However, it is still a little bit less noisy than its counterpart. If I’m vacuuming with this one and I want to talk to someone 2m away, I’ll have to raise my voice so they can hear me. Hearing the TV will also be impossible unless the volume is turned up.

Meanwhile, the noise level of the NV360 was measured at 77dB decibels. Although this may appear to be a fairly minor difference, the noise level is very loud. In this case, I won’t be able to hear the TV or radio very well, and it will be almost impossible to hear what people say.

Weight

When compared, the weights of the Shark NV360 and NV752 are, respectively, 12.5 and 15.6 pounds. The difference in their weights is not big enough to be considered significant. These vacuum cleaners are relatively lightweight, making them easy for me to carry around my house and upstairs.

Cord Length

The Shark NV360 has a power cord that is 25 feet long, in contrast to its counterpart, the NV752, which has a power cord that is 30 feet long. It is always preferable to have a longer power cord. However, in general, they both have a long cord, so plugging into a certain area allows me to clean every corner without constantly moving the cord from the plug to plug in other areas of the house.

The cord on these vacuums is about the same length as others in its class, so calling it short might be a bit of an exaggeration. However, it is five feet shorter than the more expensive model in the lift-away range.

Hose Length

One of the Shark NV360’s weak points is the hose. It only reaches a maximum length of about 4 feet. It is not very short! While vacuuming, I realized that the 4-foot hose wouldn’t be long enough to reach the ceiling or the tops of high shelves. On the other hand, you purchase an extended hose to reach further. Of course, it costs you extra money.

The length of the hose that comes with the Shark NV752 is approximately 6 feet when it is fully stretched out, which is not a significant increase from the length of the hose that comes with the Shark NV360. If they have longer hoses, that would be preferable for me.

Cleaning Path

I appreciate the wider cleaning path of Shark NV752, which is 11 inches, than the 9.5 inches cleaning path of Shark NV360. The widths of both sizes are not too big. I wish the cleaning path were at least 15 inches wide so I could quickly vacuum the expansive floors. I am, however, willing to make concessions to achieve greater suction.

Utilities

The Winner: Shark NV752

LED lights

Shark NV752 has LED lights on the handheld vacuum and nozzle, but the NV360 doesn’t. The LED lights on the wand make it easy to spot cobwebs in those tricky corners while above-floor cleaning.

The illuminated nozzle also provides LED lighting, which really useful for helping me spot hidden debris to clean more thoroughly. The LED light really illuminates the vacuum area, so I can actually see what I normally miss.

Attachment

Shark NV752 has a very handy attachment set
Shark NV752 has a very handy attachment set.

The NV752’s attachment set is better than just about any other vacuum out there. It comes with an upholstery tool, a crevice tool, a motorized pet tool, and a hard floor. The motorized pet tool is one of the best pet tools I’ve used. It does have an independent motor, and in my tests, it was nearly perfect with pick-up and far outshined any other suction-based tool.

The Shark NV360 only comes with a crevice tool and an upholstery tool. But attachments to this vacuum can easily be found to be purchased separately. That means it costs you extra money.
